What is BlueOmics?
BlueOmics is a transcriptome database designed for S. biocullata and S. tetrasperma. It contains full-length transcriptome data for two species and useful bioinformatics tools.
How is BlueOmics structured?
BlueOmics uses python and Django web frameworks to organize the back-end programs, and Jquery and Bootstrap front-end frameworks to present information and interact with users. The entire project is deployed with Nginx and Uwsgi.

What data and information does BlueOmics contain?
Currently, BlueOmics contains multiple search tools and available data for researchers conducting transcriptomics studies. BlueOmics provides expression visualization and batch download tools. In addition, the database also integrates the BLAST sequence comparison tool. The current BlueOmics is version 1.0, so we will be constantly updating it and working hard to ensure that it becomes the leading database for Malan transcriptomics.

What is BlueOmics's future plan?
Our initial plan is to collect more transcriptome data and develop a visualization tool in web page. All the researchers can easily observe the differential expression of transcript.In the future, we will develop more useful tool, perform deeper mining of transcriptome data and make it availiable on our website.
